The story of Fredi Foscolo from France and Bulgaria: The organiser of one of the very few resistance groups in Bulgaria in the 1960s, he distributed illegal pamphlets against the regime, was arrested, put on trial for spying and sent to prison. Fredi staged a miraculous Cold War escape from communist Bulgaria with his future wife, despite being watched and followed by the notorious State Security.
