Kostadin Chakarov (on the right of this image) was an advisor and personal assistant to Todor Zhivkov, who ruled Bulgaria between 1954-1989. He remembered the rituals of that time and the legacy of the 9 September 1944, the day of the Communist takeover in Bulgaria.
