To Escape - Zijah Sokolovic

 

 

Zijah Sokolović, one of the most popular actors across the former Yugoslavia.

A writer and director who lives, acts and directs in Croatia, Austria, Slovenia, Bosnia and Serbia.

Born in Sarajevo in 1950, graduated from both Sarajevo Drama Academy and Sarajevo University. Straight after graduation he wrote and directed "Glumac je glumac je glumac", a monodrama about his acting experiences. The show was an immediate success, it was widely translated and has been played for 30 years in more than 20 countries around the world.

In January of 1992 Sokolović left Sarajevo and eventually settled down in Vienna. In the spring of 2008 he peformed again "Glumac..." in Sarajevo.

Zijah Sokolović, sarajevski glumac i režiser čudesne impresije, jedan je od najpoznatijih umjetnika sa prostora nekadašnje Jugoslavije, čiji se život i profesija odvijaju na relaciji Beč-Zagreb-Ljubljana-Sarajevo-Beograd.

Tekst "Glumac je Glumac je Glumac" je preveden na nekoliko jezika i igrao je u dvadeset zemalja svijeta.
