Bornin Sarajevo in 1950, graduated from both Sarajevo Drama Academy and Sarajevo University. Straight after graduation he wrote and directed "Glumac je glumac je glumac", a monodrama about his acting experiences. The show was an immediate success, it was widely translated and has been played for 30 years in more than 20 countries around the world.
In January of 1992 Sokolovic left Sarajevo and eventually settled down in Vienna. In the spring of 2008 he peformed again "Glumac..." in Sarajevo.
